James William "Biba" Quinn, 52, a retired Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. employee, died Saturday (Oct. 20, 2001) in his Buffalo home after a lengthy illness.
Born in Trenton, N.C., he earned a degree in business administration from St. Augustine Episcopal College, Raleigh, N.C., in 1972.
He worked for Niagara Mohawk as a machine operator at the Huntley Power Station for more than 20 years before he retired because of illness in 1999.
He and Vanessa Hunt were married in 1975.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Valisha of Buffalo; his mother, Beulah Mae Quinn of Trenton, N.C.; and three brothers, Samuel of Raleigh, Pete of Trenton, N.J. and Lewis of Chapel Hill, N.C.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 15 Fernhill Ave. Burial will be in Forest Lawn.
