Henry W. Czechowski, 78, formerly of West Seneca, died Saturday (Oct. 20, 2001) in Lansing, Mich.
A railroad worker for 48 years, he most recently had worked for Amtrak and Conrail.
He was a fourth-degree member of Monsignor Nash Council, Knights of Columbus. He also was a member of Lancaster Lodge, Loyal Order of Moose.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Adam Plewacki Post 799, American Legion, and Post 2940, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are his wife, Florence Zmitrewicz Czechowski; a son, Henry E. of West Seneca; a daughter, Geraldine Layman of Lansing; a sister, Florence Lyons of Maryland; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be offered Friday in St. Gerard's Catholic Church, Lansing.
