Clarence A. Rider, 90, of Pavilion, a retired mechanic, died Tuesday (Oct. 23, 2001) in Eastside Nursing Home, Warsaw, after a long illness.
Born in Haskinsville, he had been a Pavilion resident since 1940. He was a mechanic for B.R. DeWitt Co., retiring in 1970.
Rider was a life member of the Pavilion Fire Department.
He and Dorothy Barnes were married in 1940. She died in 1984.
Surviving are a son, Jerold of Wyoming; two brothers, Myron of Arkport and Samuel of Bath; a sister, Lena of Hampton, N.J.; a stepsister, Lela of Bath; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Weeks Funeral Home, 123 N. Main St., Warsaw. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Perry.
