Betty Fox, a former teacher and a world traveler, will speak at a dinner for After 5 Christian Business & Professional Women at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Holiday Inn, Amherst. Suzanne Lutz will give a presentation on Longaberger Baskets & Pottery and Donna Kelley will provide music.

Seton Guild of Buffalo will have its annual membership tea from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday in the home of Barbara Bartels in Amherst. Patricia Wischerath is chairwoman.

Amherst Chapter 555 of Order of the Eastern Star, will celebrate its 87th anniversary at a potluck supper at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Amherst Masonic Temple. Members of Canadian chapters will be guests. Gertrude Grove will be honored for 80 years of membership. Members for 25, 30, 40 and 50 years of membership and past matrons and patrons also will be honored.

Plans for the fifth annual card and game party to be sponsored by Preceptor Beta Iota Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will be completed at a meeting Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the North Tonawanda home of Sue Lester. The event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday in NOCO Pavilion, Town of Tonawanda, to benefit the former state troopers Helping Hands program.
