Robert Christian Carman, 29, of Mount Morris, who worked at area farms until recently, died Friday (Oct. 19, 2001) in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, from injuries suffered in a pickup truck accident.
Carman, who was born in Buffalo, was a passenger in a truck that crashed into a tree on Henry Road in the town of Perry at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, according to state police reports. He was airlifted from the crash site to Strong Memorial.
Carman attended Perry Central School and worked at area farms until two months ago, when he went to work at the Kraft plant in Avon.
Survivors include a daughter, Ashley of Perry; his mother, Diane Houghton Spencer of Perry; his paternal grandparents, William and Ruth Carman of Chenango Bridge; and his maternal grandfather, Ray Houghton of Gainesville, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, 98 N. Main St.
