ELENA J. DILAURA, RETIRED SALES CLERK

A Mass of Christian Burial for Elena "Helen" J. DiLaura, a retired sales clerk, will be offered at 9:15 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1413 Pine Ave., preceded by prayers at 8:45 in Rhoney Funeral Home, 1124 Ontario Ave. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.

Mrs. DiLaura, 73, died Thursday (Oct. 18, 2001) at her home while under Hospice care.

Born Elena Baldisarra in Niagara Falls, she was a 1946 graduate of Niagara Falls High School. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Mrs. DiLaura was a retail sales clerk at the former Jenss department store for 15 years before she retired in 1993. She had previously been employed at Moore Business Forms. She was a fan of the New York Yankees and enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, John J.; three daughters, Mary-Jo Lynch of Winston-Salem, N.C., Elena Bruno of Niagara Falls and Marguerite Lewis of Rochester; two sons, Ronald of Niagara Falls and Michael-John of Jamestown; a brother, Anthony Baldisarra of Niagara Falls; and 10 grandchildren.
