AT REPUBLICAN DINNER, PATRIOTISM FIRST

ELBA -- Patriotism overshadowed party politics Thursday during the 45th annual Genesee County Republican Committee dinner, attended by 200 party members in Elba Firemen's Hall.

Rep. Thomas M. Reynolds, R-Clarence, set the tone, saying, "We are at war, and it is important that our generation take care of terrorism against our country."

Alexander "Sandy" Treadwell, former state secretary of state and the state's Republican committee chairman, urged that people vote this Election Day "to show confidence in our country."
