The Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers seeks volunteers 16 and older to help serve at its BFNC-Citibank Community Thanksgiving Dinner. The dinner takes place Nov. 15 at the Moot Senior Center, 292 High St. Volunteers are needed for shifts between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Call 852-5065 or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Call for Action, a service of WIVB-TV, is in need of individuals who would be willing to make a commitment of three to four hours, one day per week, Monday through Friday. Trained volunteers, working with a network of offices across the country, operate a telephone service for people needing assistance. Call for Action contacts service agencies and then follows up to see that the problem has been resolved. Anyone interested is asked to call 879-4968.
