Joan M. Brinkworth of Buffalo, a bookkeeper, died Friday (Sept. 28, 2001) in Hospice Buffalo, Cheektowaga. She was 63.

She most recently served as an administrative bookkeeper and clerk in the tax and assessment office in City Hall, where she had worked since 1993. Before that, she was a bookkeeper at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center's Federal Credit Union, and earlier spent 12 years as bookkeeper for Park Meadow, a family business.

Born and raised in Buffalo, she was a graduate of School 61 and Holy Angels Academy.

She was an alumna of Sigma Phi Epsilon, and enjoyed gardening and bowling.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald; two daughters, Kelly and Erin, both of the Town of Tonawanda; two sons, Gerald of Hollywood, Fla., and Timothy of Atlanta; two sisters, Ann R. Schweitzer of Kenmore and Molly L. Schirrmacher of Depew; and four grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:15 a.m. Monday in St. Paul's Catholic Church, Delaware Avenue at Victoria Boulevard, Kenmore. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
