Christopher Lambert, star of the "Highlander" films, is among the celebrities who have joined singer Phil Collins in his efforts to help talented children realize their dreams.
The Little Dreams Foundation, co-founded by Collins and his Swiss-born wife, Orianne, provides financial aid to children ages 4 to 16 who have athletic or artistic talent.
"There are a lot of children out there with a lot of untapped talent who simply don't have the opportunity to realize their dream to play the guitar or the piano, for instance," said Collins. "Their parents don't have the money, they don't have the opportunity."
To join, children fill out a questionnaire on the foundation's Web site and then submit a resume. Those selected can receive financial aid for education, training and equipment, as well as moral and technical support and guidance from "godparents."
