AIRLINES DON'T DESERVE GOVERNMENT BAILOUT

For at least 35 years, the airline industry has charged a transportation tax on every ticket sold. This money was to be used to update radar, upgrade security and improve control towers, among other things. Now the airlines are receiving a bailout from the government (us) and asking to not be held liable for the attacks. They are liable. These terrorist acts might have been prevented if the industry had used the money as it was supposed to.

Misappropriation of funds by the airline industry has caused the problems it is now facing. Billions of dollars were collected. This is totally trackable money. I would support an investigation into where these funds went. It is unthinkable that the government is now bailing the airlines out. It is their liability -- let them be held accountable.
