Sophomore Jahmal Cameron scored 3:09 into overtime to give the St. Bonaventure men's soccer team a 2-1 win over Duquesne in Pittsburgh on Friday evening.
Cameron took a feed from junior midfielder Kareem Reynolds and blasted a 14-yard shot past Dukes' keeper Terry McNelis. Bob Hammer had the other goal for the Bonnies (5-2).
Fairfield, ranked 12th nationally, tied a 21-year-old school record for goals in a game with an 8-1 rout of visiting Canisius. The Stags are 3-1-1, 2-1 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference; the Griffs are 1-5-1, 0-2.
Dusty Hinman and Dave Aslin had the goals as Buffalo State (2-6, 1-2) dropped a 5-2 State University of New York Athletic Conference contest at New Paltz.
Gianfranco Mele had two goals and two assists for D'Youville in a 4-2 win over Medaille. Nick Herdlein (Maryvale) had one goal and one assist for Medaille.
WOMEN'S SOCCER: Freshman Brenna McJury scored for UB (4-5, 3-2), but the Bulls dropped a 4-1 decision to visiting Miami (Ohio).
Lucy Bauda (Orchard Park) had the lone goal for Buffalo State (2-5, 1-3) in a 3-1 home loss to New Paltz in SUNYAC play.
Fredonia (3-4-2) remained winless through three SUNYAC contests with a 3-0 home loss to league-leading Oneonta (7-3, 6-0).
Alyssa McNamara (Amherst) turned back 14 shots for Erie Community College in a 1-0 double-overtime loss to Finger Lakes CC.
HOCKEY: Niagara will put individual game tickets for both its men's and women's teams on sale Monday at 11 a.m. Ticket prices for men's games are $10 for reserved, $6 general admission and $4 youth. For women's games tickets are $6 adult and $4 youth. Tickets are available at the Dwyer Arena box office, Ticketmaster outlets or by calling 286-8622.
VOLLEYBALL: Stacey Williams (Niagara-Wheatfield) had 40 assists as Fredonia beat D'Youville, 32-30, 30-12, 30-28.
Erin Holahan (Roy-Hart) had 43 assists while Kristin Seibert had 13 kills as Daemen (9-2, 7-0) rolled over Shawnee, 30-21, 30-23, 30-26.
WOMEN'S TENNIS: St. Bonaventure's Natalie Rumpel, Amanda Pesono (Holy Angels), Michelle Kearney and Jennifer Iannone won singles matches against Niagara on the first day of the Nike Fall Classic in Olean. Melina Matijevic and Kendra Daigler were singles winners for Niagara, which went 0-3 in doubles play against Colgate. Bona also won two of three doubles matches against UB, which went 0-6 in singles play against Colgate.
