Betty Y. Bell, 72, died Thursday (Sept. 27, 2001) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a short illness.
Mrs. Bell was born Betty Brink in Conemaugh, Pa., and attended school there. She worked at a glass factory in Jeannette, Pa., before moving here in the early 1950s.
Mrs. Bell worked in Niagara University's housekeeping department for a few years before becoming a homemaker.
She enjoyed the outdoors, shopping, bingo, country music and dancing.
Her husband, John E., died in 1973.
Survivors include three daughters, Joanne Szeliga and Darlene Lorance, both of Niagara Falls, and Mary Hardy of Westfield; and a grandson.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Zajac Funeral Home, 319 24th St. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
