Traffic was tied up at the junction of the Niagara Thruway and the State Thruway on Thursday after a truck became wedged between the concrete lane barriers of the Thruway construction project.
The on-ramp to the eastbound lanes of the Thruway became congested for about 20 minutes at the height of the evening rush hour because of the incident. No injuries were reported.
Drivers warned of higher risk
of accidents involving deer

Because the number of such accidents rises substantially at this time of year, Gallivan said, drivers should be more alert for deer randomly crossing the highway.
