James K. Donohue Jr., 50, owner and operator of Management Advisory Services for many years, died Monday (Sept. 24, 2001) in his Niagara Falls home after a lengthy illness.
Born in Niagara Falls, he attended St. Mary's School and was a graduate of Georgetown Preparatory School in Washington, D.C., where he was vice president of his senior class.
Donohue was a graduate of Niagara University, earning a bachelor of arts degree.
He was an active member of St. Mary's of the Cataract Catholic Church.
He served on the Niagara Falls Human Rights Committee, which presented him a Distinguished Service Award, and on the city's Urban Renewal Committee.
Donohue closed his business a few years ago when he became ill.
He was a member of Youngstown Yacht Club since 1974.
Donohue enjoyed reading and spent a great deal of time at the library.
Survivors include his mother, Loretto of Niagara Falls.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's of the Cataract Church, 259 Fourth St., after prayers at 9:30 in Labuda Funeral Home, 356 Portage Road. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.
