Boxing promoter Don King joined several other celebrities in a visit to the scene of America's worst terrorist attack ever.

"America brought me down here today," he said near the wreckage of the World Trade Center. "There is a hue and a cry across America with unity, solidarity and togetherness. Never before has America been so cohesive, putting aside prejudice, discrimination, color, creed and religion."

King went on to describe that sense of unity as perhaps the silver lining of this "devastating tragedy."

King startled onlookers with his visit to the wreckage site, wearing a denim jacket covered with spangles and emblazoned with his own likeness on the back.

Former heavyweight boxing champion Joe Frazier, singer Bette Midler and actress Candice Bergen also toured the Trade Center site last week to encourage rescue workers.
