Led by freshman Jay Lindell (Southwestern), St. Bonaventure took a seven-shot lead Sunday in the 13th annual Leo Keenan Invitational hosted by the Bonnies at Bartlett CC in Olean.

The Bonnies posted a four-man total of eight-over-par 288 in Sunday's first round. Drexel is second at 295 followed by Duquesne and St. Francis (Pa.) at 297 and Siena at 299. Niagara is sixth at 300.

Lindell and Drexel's Jeff Michner lead the field at par 70.

The final round is today.

MEN'S SOCCER: Canisius goalkeeper Dave Borchard made nine saves in the Golden Griffins' 3-0 loss to Dayton at the Diadora Classic in Bowling Green, Ohio. The Griffs are 1-4-1.

Dustin Corrigan and Ainseley Romany of Canisius were named to the all-tournament team.

MEN'S TENNIS: The University at Buffalo and host St. Bonaventure dominated the Nike Fall Classic. UB's Fery Kasiman and Justin Brtko won in singles and the doubles teams of Randy Rocchio-Nick Ziezula and Justin Brtko-Rohan Raikar were flight winners. Bona winners were Mikko Haulos, Adam Porice and Kevin MacDonald in singles. Niagara's John Abella won a flight in singles play while Mike Kelly and Tom Rees of the Purple Eagles captured the doubles crown in their bracket.

WOMEN'S SOCCER: Nicole Olszewski (Lancaster) scored her sixth goal of the season at 3:05 of overtime to give the visiting University at Buffalo (4-4, 3-1) a 2-1 victory over Bowling Green (3-2-2, 0-1-1) in a Mid-American Conference game. Paula Sinclair tied the game for UB with a goal at 60:38. . . . Mary O'Rourke scored at 21:23 of OT as Iona (1-7, 1-1) defeated Canisius, 2-1, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game. Jen Gwizdowski scored for the Griffs (1-6, 1-2). . . Inga Haedicke scored for Niagara (1-5, 1-2) in a 5-1 MAAC loss to Fairfield in Lewiston. . . . St. Bonaventure (2-1-1) took a nonconference victory over host Binghamton, 3-1. Lisa Nicola, Lindsay Addella and Jara Petz scored for the Bonnies while goalkeeper Karen Cunningham made 10 saves. . . . Jaclyn Bolognese (Orchard Park) had two goals and Amy Drozen and Lindsay Cashmore one each as Buffalo State (2-4) defeated Cazenovia, 5-0.

WOMEN'S TENNIS: Niagara's Milena Matijevic defeated Tatiana Okpala of Howard, 6-1, 6-3, in the backdraw final in a 20-team tournament at West Point. . . . Alfred defeated Buffalo State, 8-1. Christina Wilson (Kenmore East) won at third singles for the Bengals' point.
