Audrey Ann Fafara, branch chief secretary for the Internal Revenue Service, died Thursday in Mercy Hospital in Buffalo after a lengthy illness.
Born Audrey Ann Rusinski, Mrs. Fafara, 56, worked at the IRS office in the Apple Tree Business Park in Cheektowaga for 11 years.
A resident of West Seneca, she won numerous job-related awards and, in her spare time, enjoyed knitting, bowling, traveling and reading.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Walter J.; a daughter, Cheryl A. Bauer of West Seneca; a son, Brian L. of Buffalo; three brothers, Mel Rusinski, Jerome Rusinski and Thomas Rusinski; and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m., Monday in St. William Catholic Church, 1 Arcade St., West Seneca, following prayers in Urban-Amigone Funeral Home, 1024 French Road, Cheektowaga. Burial will in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
