Shannon J. Bomberry, 27, who had worked as a laborer at Stollberg Inc., Town of Niagara, died Wednesday (Sept. 20, 2001) in Erie County Medical Center, the victim of a shooting April 21 on the Tuscarora Indian Reservation.

He was born in Niagara Falls and had lived on the Tuscarora Indian Reservation.

Bomberry was a graduate of the Tuscarora Indian School and Niagara-Wheatfield High School.

He had played lacrosse for the Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., Lacrosse League, and also enjoyed playing basketball and watching football.

Survivors include a son, Seth J.J.; a daughter, Seleste J.; his parents, Albert J. and Joyce Printup Bomberry; two brothers, Spencer J. and Stanton J., all of the Tuscarora Indian Reservation; and his grandmother, Emily of Oshweken, Ont.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. today in the Tuscarora Baptist Church, 2088 Mount Hope Road. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
