The business group World Trade Center Buffalo-Niagara will unveil a cross-border agreement with Ontario economic developers at its annual meeting on Monday at the Albright Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo.

The memorandum of understanding with Thorold, Ont.-based Niagara Economic Development and Tourism addresses cross-border industry relationships.

A statement will be read by Guy Tozzoli, president of the World Trade Centers Association Inc. in New York, calling for the trade group to rededicate itself to its objectives in the wake of the destruction of its head office.

The expected speaker Haoran Chen, leader of a Chinese industry trade group, has canceled his trip to the U.S.

Formerly called the International Trade Council, the World Trade Center Buffalo-Niagara will also recap the past year and present awards to members for trade achievements.

The event's sponsors are The ABC Companies, M&T Bank, ESM Enterprises and Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations.

Herbert Ladds, chairman of Columbus McKinnon Corp., will receive the Thomas Hart Kendig Award for Achievement in International Trade.

Renee A. Filip, executive for strategic initiates at the Ciminelli Development Co., will recent the Marshall L. Glickman Award for Volunteer Service.
