Charlotte "Chod" Deering Hillmer, 94, who worked as an executive secretary for Niagara Mohawk until retiring in 1972, died Sept. 13, 2001, in Seminole, Fla., after a brief illness.
Born Charlotte Deering in Lewiston, she was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.
She had been living in an assisted-living home at the time of her death.
Mrs. Hillmer worked for 47 years for Niagara Mohawk before retiring.
She was a longtime resident of Niagara Falls and later moved to Pinellas Park, Fla.
Mrs. Hillmer enjoyed flowers, knitting and reading.
Her husband, John, died in 1984.
Private burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, at the convenience of the family.
