VINCENT N. CIMINESI, BRANT PRODUCE FARMER

Vincent N. Ciminesi, 80, a lifelong produce farmer in Brant, died Tuesday (Sept. 18, 2001) in Gowanda Nursing Home after a long illness.

In addition to growing fruit and vegetables, he was a past director of the Eden Valley Growers and a member of the Extension Service and Erie County Farm Bureau.

Ciminesi also was a member of the Holy Name Society of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and Hamburg Council 2220, Knights of Columbus. He was a charter member and past officer of Brant Volunteer Fire Company.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Sally P. Phillips; a daughter, Susan M. Johnson of Cuba; a sister, Sally Aguglia of Buffalo; a brother, Herman J. of Brant; and two grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 10708 Brant-Angola Road. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
