The Memory Walk, a fund-raiser for the Alzheimer's Association, will be held at three Western New York sites in upcoming weeks. The 13th annual Erie County Memory Walk will be held Saturday in the Buffalo Zoo and Delaware Park. The first Niagara County walk is Sept. 29 at Artpark in Lewiston, and the first Southern Tier walk is Oct. 27 beginning at Olean Open MRI, Olean. The American Lung Association has two Freedom from Smoking classes starting. The Schofield Residence, 3333 Elmwood Ave., Town of Tonawanda, hosts a Monday session beginning Monday and continuing Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. Another class begins next Tuesday in Hamburg Town Hall, S. 6100 South Park Ave., also meeting Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. Both classes meet from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cost is $60. Wellness Walk 2001, benefiting the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, New York Division, and the Erie Community College Medical Assistance Fund for Students, begins with registration at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Erie Community College South Campus, Orchard Park.
