Tickets are still available for "A Toast to Larry Felser," a testimonial dinner honoring the longtime Buffalo News columnist, which will be held Sept. 28.

The event, which will feature various sports celebrities paying tribute to Felser, will be held at 6 p.m. at The Radisson Hotel & Suites Buffalo on Genesee Street in Cheektowaga.

Cost is $50 per ticket or $475 for a table of 10. Send your payment to Friends of Felser, PO Box 566, Hamburg, N.Y., 14075-0566.

Proceeds from the event go to The News' Neediest Fund.
Jay Howard's 59-yard interception return for a touchdown led the Irondequoit Sting to a 21-6 victory over the Buffalo Gladiators in a New York State Football League game Saturday night in Rochester.
The Western New York Boys and Girls Basketball Coaching Clinic, featuring UB men's coach Reggie Witherspoon, Niagara men's coach Joe Mihalich, Canisius men's coach Mike MacDonald, UB women's coach Cheryl Dozier, Buffalo State men's coach Dick Bihr and Hilbert men's coach Richard Walsh, will be held from 5-11 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Sweet Home High School gymnasium.

Jim Pritchard, a former football and track star at Kenmore East, won the 50 and 100 meters in the 40-44 age bracket last weekend at the 21st annual Rocky Mountain Masters Games track meet in Boulder, Colo. Pritchard, 41, will compete in the USA Track & Field Indoor Masters Championships in Boston this winter.
