Services were held Saturday for Mary Reichvalder, 87, a former Niagara Falls resident who died Tuesday (Sept. 11, 2001) in Mount View Care Center, Scranton, Pa., after a long illness.
Mrs. Reichvalder was born in Taylor, Pa., and worked at Consolidated Molding Co. in Scranton. She moved to Niagara Falls in 1941 and lived here until returning to Scranton in 1993.
She worked for 10 years as a cook at Elmer's Place on Hyde Park Boulevard, retiring at age 65.
Her husband of 47 years, Michael P., known as "Jimmy," died June 27, 1988.
Surviving are two sisters, Helen Pierotti of Scranton and Ann Pietryka of Old Forge, Pa.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered in St. Teresa's Catholic Church. Entombment was in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, Lewiston.
