It is so disappointing to see what the National Football League is coming to these days. To hear that the Bills released safety Henry Jones just goes to show that loyalty means nothing anymore. Jones was not only a great member of the community of Buffalo, but one of the most important parts of the Buffalo defense throughout the past 10 years.
In this day and age, to see a player like Jones -- who could have left the Bills when he was a free agent to go for the money elsewhere but stayed and showed loyalty to his team -- is slapped in the face by that same team. Well, that is just wrong.
Can you honestly tell me that Raion Hill is going to contribute more to this defense then a veteran and a leader like Jones? I personally think that is highly unlikely.
I just hope the Bills know what they are doing because one of the moves they are making is going to come back and slap them in the face. I would hate to see Jones sign with the Jets and, in a crucial game late in the fourth quarter, see a Rob Johnson pass float in to the arms of Jones to seal the Bills' fate. Guess we will just have to see what happens.
Go Bills anyways, though!
