FOUR TEENAGERS ACCUSED OF TRYING TO STEAL VCR

Town of Tonawanda police over the weekend arrested four teenagers who are accused of sneaking into Hoover Elementary School and trying to steal a VCR.

Police responded to a report Friday night of people inside the school at 199 Thorncliff Road and found four teenagers in the gymnasium, according to a police report.

The four were found with a VCR taken from a classroom, a Red Cross flag taken from outside the nurse's office and an unopened 12-pack of beer, police said. They had slipped in through an unlocked window or door, police said.

Police charged each of the teens with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny.

The four are Charles C. Beuchat III, 18, of Euclid Avenue, Kenmore; Terrance M. Ferguson Jr., 18, of South Nicholas Drive in the town; Michael D. Palmeri, 17, of Eiseman Avenue, Kenmore; and Michael J. Santomauro, 18, of Thorncliff Road in the town.
