Evelyn Mote Nevinger, who taught in one-room schools in the Town of Granger, died Sunday (June 24, 2001) in her winter home in Seffner, Fla. The Fillmore resident was 88.
A native of Granger, the former Evelyn Sonnleitner taught for many years. She was a member of the Short Tract Methodist Church and the Cooperative Extension Service.
Her first husband, Wilbur Mote, died in 1980.
Surviving are her husband of eight years, Leslie Nevinger; two sons, Milton Mote of Byron and Donald Mote of Mission Hills, Calif.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Robinson & Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Gainesville.
