ELEANOR J. FISHER, RAN ALTERATIONS BUSINESS

Eleanor J. Fisher, formerly of Buffalo, died June 12, 2001, in her home in Haines City, Fla., after a long illness. She was 75.

Born Eleanor Burgio in Buffalo, she worked at several manufacturing firms, including Trico Products Corp., where she met her husband; Twin Coach Industries; American Optical; and Sierra Research. After retiring in 1986, she moved to Florida with her husband in 1990.

Mrs. Fisher enjoyed decorating, gardening, crafting, cooking and sewing. In the 1970s, she ran a business called Alterations by Eleanor Fisher. She was a former member of the Lions Club.

She is survived by her husband, Irving of Haines City; a daughter, Linda of Cheektowaga; and a brother, Alphonso Burgio of Williamsville.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered June 16 in Auburndale, Fla.
