MAYVILLE -- Three people have been added to the Chautauqua County Wanted List for failing to appear in court on drunken-driving charges.
Sheriff's Deputies said John T. Hopkins, 29, of Morris Road, Mayville; Kevin M. Vandevelde, 30, of Webster Road, Portland; and Jerry L. Nickerson, 33, of West Lake Road, Brocton, are accused of not appearing on counts of driving while intoxicated.
Anyone with information on any of these three men is asked to contact the Sheriff's Department.

MAYVILLE -- A Chautauqua County man wanted on charges of issuing bad checks, theft and criminal impersonation has been arrested in Corry, Pa.
Sheriff's officers said Monday that William A. Lisek Jr., 31, of Ripley was taken into custody on an unrelated charge in Corry after authorities learned of three warrants against him.
Lisek is wanted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department for allegedly issuing a bad check. He was featured on the June 11 wanted List. Lisek is also sought by Dunkirk police on nine counts of issuing a bad check, the Pennsylvania State Parole Board on parole violation, and Millcreek, Pa., police on theft by deception and impersonating a public servant.

companion stole her SUV
NIAGARA FALLS -- An Alabama woman was unable to return home as scheduled Sunday night because the man who accompanied her on the trip stole her car, police said.
The woman told police the man, described as a family friend, stole the keys to her sport utility vehicle Sunday morning and drove off. The vehicle was taken from the Jordan Gardens area, police said.
