KeyBank named Robert Franasiak senior vice president in the Special Assets Group for the Western New York District. He is responsible for the administration of Key's criticized/classified loan portfolio for the Buffalo and Rochester districts. Also Susan M. Nolan was named vice president in retail banking for the Western New York district. She will be responsible for services for high-net worth clients, including deposit and investment growth and personal and business lending.

M&T Bank promoted five to the position of assistant vice president: Michael T. Trachimowicz is branch manager and sales leader of the Blasdell office; Joseph R. Wawrzynskis is branch manager of the Tonawanda office at 63 Borad St.; Rene M. Polcyn is the retail manager for the Southgate Plaza office; Jane M. Russo is branch manager of the Dunkirk office located in Tops Market, and Adam K. Haas is branch manager of the North Forest office.

MetLife named two account representatives: David Inman of Olean and David Kuster of Eden will be with the sales office at 150 Essjay Road, Williamsville. Also Chris Birli of MetLife graduated from the Career Skills Training at MetLife's Individual Business Learning Center in Seacaucus, N.J. Birli is a marketing associate at the Williamsville office.

Trans-Ocean, a processor and marketer of seafoods, named Larry Mulvey national business development manager and Robert Schons to director of food service.

Southeast Foundation, a sub-entity of Southeast Community Work Center, named Rachel T. Buchanan to the board of directors. She is an employee of New York State Electric & Gas Corp., where she is in land management.

Uniland Development Co., a commercial real estate developer, hired Thomas Widzinski as visual communication manager. He will be responsible for the creative execution of visual marketing materials, including electronic advertising.

TVGA Engineering, Surveying, a consulting firm headquartered in Buffalo, hired Daniel Blamowski as an engineer to the Division of Transportation; James Manzella as staff scientist in the Division of Environment and Planning, and Kim Hines as graphic designer in the Marketing Department.

Brierwood Country Club's Peter O'Connell has been inducted into the Buffalo/Niagara Sales and Marketing Executives' Hall of Fame. O'Connell serves as the Western New York market sales manager for Arnold Palmer Golf Management, overseeing the marketing and sales operations for the Orlando-based company's Brierwood Country Club, Fox Valley Club and Tan Tara Golf Club.

BCS, a Tonawanda-based energy services and controls systems integrator, hired David Lindhurst as automation service technician in the Service Department.

Rich Products, a supplier and solutions provider to the food service and in-store bakery segments, named Donald Gibson to vice president of marketing, beverages, in the Toppings, Icings, Desserts and Beverages Department.

Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations awarded the Certificate in Labor Studies to Margaret Burke, David Dudek, Gerald Franz, Andrew Kleine, Robert Pyjas, Mary Refermat, Cheryl Space and Elaine Timm. The Advanced Labor Studies Certificate was awarded to James Twist, Linda McNamara and Marijean Nichols. Also, Donald Petschke received the major labor studies certificate.

Saperston Asset Management in Buffalo named Howard T. Saperston III senior vice president of investments.

Sisters Hospital Foundation named Anne Snyder, of Cheektowaga, development officer. She will manage the foundation's annual Giving Campaign, coordinate the golf and tennis tournament and the spring gala events.
