Marion Granville, a world traveler and longtime Girl Scout Leader, died Wednesday in her Buffalo home after a short illness. She was 94.
Born Marion Seitz, she was a lifelong resident of the Buffalo area. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, where she was president of the Mothers Club. She was also a member of the South Buffalo Bowling League and a local bridge club.
She traveled the world from China to Europe to Alaska to the Panama Canal, and was a longtime Girl Scout leader in the area.
Her husband, Fred, died in 1976.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Ann Smith, Carol Lafferty, Lorraine and Patricia, and two sons, Paul F. and Joseph F., all of Buffalo; 27 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11 a.m. today in St. Ambrose Church, 65 Ridgewood Road. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery.
