Dorothy H. Rynne, a homemaker, died Thursday (June 21, 2001) in her Buffalo home after a short illness. She was 72.
The former Dorothy Brazitis was born in Detroit and moved to Buffalo in 1991 with her husband.
She was a homemaker "extraordinaire" who enjoyed exploring the City of Buffalo with her husband of 48 years. Together they enjoyed small restaurants and bakeries.
She enjoyed gourmet cooking, interior decorating, rug hooking, needlepoint and took great pride in her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Courtney, survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Gibbons of Buffalo and Patricia Johnson of Marblehead, Mass.; three sons, James of Huntington, Courtney of Abescon, N.J., and Michael of Clawson, Mich.; two sisters, Mary Ann Dinan of Royal Oak, Mich., and Alice Cheffins of Boca Raton, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1029 Delaware Ave., after services at 9 in Amigone Funeral Home Delaware Chapel, 1131 W. Ferry St. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre, Detroit.
