A memorial Mass for Vincenzia "Jennie" Grybel, a retired University at Buffalo employee, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 425 Penora St., Depew.
Mrs. Grybel, 85, of Danvers, Mass., died March 7, 2001, in the New England Home for the Deaf in Beverly, Mass.
Born in Punxsutawney, Pa., the former Vincenzia Caserta moved to Buffalo in her teens and was an alumna of Pittsburgh School for the Deaf and a past member of the Buffalo Club for the Deaf. She moved from Buffalo in 1967.
Survivors include her husband, Walter; a daughter, Carol Burkhart-Lyons of Waterbury, Conn.; three brothers, James Caserta of Buffalo, Anthony Caserta of California and Joseph Caserta Jr. of Virginia; a sister, Theresa Burdick of Florida; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
