Jeannette M. Pollard, a regional leader in Presbyterian affairs, died Tuesday (June 19, 2001) in Millard Fillmore Hospital after a brief illness. She was 81.
The Town of Tonawanda resident was an elder at Curtis Park United Presbyterian Church and a delegate of the Western New York Assembly. She also was a delegate to the Senate of the Northeast Presbytery.
Born Jeannette Ralls in St. Louis, she moved here in 1960. She traveled the United States working for the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, William D.; two daughters, Nancy Kendall of Grand Island and Susan E. of Hamburg; a son, David W. of the Town of Tonawanda; a brother, Arthur Ralls Jr. of Arizona; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Amigone Funeral Home, 2600 Sheridan Drive, Town of Tonawanda. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
