U.S. DOESN'T CONSIDER
ALL HUMAN LIFE PRECIOUS

Mitch Albom wrote an interesting and provocative column on the Timothy McVeigh execution, which appeared in the June 12 News. Albom stated, "We did it. All of us. It's America. So it is us." I am against capital punishment, but I have to accept my share of the indictment. He further stated that McVeigh is "despicable, callous, inhumane. But there is one thing separating him from us. That is, we consider human life too precious to touch. All human life. And he doesn't."

I beg to differ. Albom surely must be aware that 4,000 of those precious human lives are snuffed out each day in the United States. It's called abortion. It's legal. It's America. So it's us.
