Henry S. Borkowski, 92, died Saturday (June 16, 2001) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness.
Borkowski was born in Cleveland, but his family moved to Poland when he was a child. He returned to the United States in 1929 and spent most of his adult life traveling around the country.
Borkowski was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. He was a maintenance worker for the Service Employees Union in Seattle for many years and retired in 1970. He moved to Niagara Falls in 1975.
Borkowski was a member of the Woodmen of the World.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1419 Falls St. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.
