Thomas C. Sauer, 18, a college student, died Friday (June 15, 2001) in Erie County Medical Center from injuries suffered in a car accident two weeks ago in Cold Spring.
Sauer was born and raised in Buffalo. He was a freshman at the University at Buffalo.
Sauer graduated in 2000 from Hutchinson-Central Technical High School, where he was president of his junior and senior classes. He was a member of the football team, ski club and Kappa Sigma Phi fraternity.
Sauer was a member of the board of Camp Li-Lo-Li in Randolph, succeeding his father, David E., who died last year. Sauer enjoyed skiing, computers and sports. He was a member of Amherst Bible Chapel.
Survivors include his mother, Janet R. of Buffalo; two brothers, Andrew J. and Matthew C., both of Buffalo; and two grandparents, Edwin C. Sauer of Snyder and Samuel Carson of Kenmore.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Amigone Funeral Home, 2600 Sheridan Drive, Tonawanda. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
