University at Buffalo Women's Club will elect officers Saturday at noon in UB Center for Tomorrow. Past presidents will serve tea and entertainment will be by Buffalo's Own Klezmer Band.
Plans are being made for the club's annual Chinese Banquet April 1 in Golden Duck Restaurant. Dorothy Soong and Irma Katz are chairwomen of the event, which will feature a 12-course menu.
A City of Lights Trolley Tour of Buffalo historic sites is planned for March 24 at 9:30 a.m., preceding a luncheon in Founding Father's Restaurant. Rose Mary Madejski is chairwoman.
French conversation group will have lunch and continue reading "Le Petit Prince" Monday in the home of Rolene Pozarney. Dr. Charles Hersey will give a talk on "Healthy Gardeners, Healthy Gardens" when the garden and Money and You groups meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Eggertsville-Snyder Public Library.
Gourmet Techniques will meet March 8 at 10:30 p.m. in the home of Barbara Meenaghan. She and Helene Connelly will demonstrate foods served at the club's recent food and wine-tasting event. Zelda Felman will lead a discussion on "How Good Do We Have to Be" by Harold Kushner when the book group meets March 12 in Wedgewood Clubhouse.
A spring party for international students and their families will be given by the International Committee at 11 a.m. March 20 in the UB Student Union. Needlework group members will have a dessert March 22 at 11:30 a.m. in Ardis Stewart's home. Crafts group will make hyacinths at a dessert luncheon March 26 in the home of Sarah Dinatale.
