The C&S Companies, a firm that provides planning, engineering design, construction, project management and technical services, hired Robert Griffin of Orchard Park as Western New York area manager in the firm's Technical Resources Group in the Buffalo office. The company is headquartered in Syracuse.

Adelphia Media Services in Coudersport, Pa., promoted Jane Sehr to regional vice president, Great Lakes Region. She will oversee all aspects of the region's advertising sales operation. The company also hired Chuck Haring as regional marketing manager for the Great Lakes region, based in Buffalo. He will oversee the client services department.

Rigidized Metals Corp. in Buffalo elected Hugh McMaster Russ III corporate secretary. He is partner at Hodgson Russ.

TVGA Engineering Surveying in Elma hired Terry Ried as project manager in the Division of Environment and Planning, and Anthony Stevens as a digital-mapping technician in the Geospatial Services Division. The firm also promoted Paulette Voit to division secretary/administration secretary to the Transportation and the Environment Planning divisions.

Nationwide Insurance Co. announced that Ernest Getzoni of the Getzoni Agency qualified for its Auto Council for being among the state's top four percent of producers of profitable automobile insurance new business sales in 2000.

The Greater Buffalo Convention & Visitors Bureau appointed Michael Even director of convention sales and services.

Advanced Auto Parts appointed Buffalo native Mike Coppola its senior vice president of merchandising. The founder of VitaminCity in Williamsville, he will relocate to Roanoke, Va., where the company is based.
