Hazel M. Tyran, 69, of Linwood Avenue, a former inspector with Worster Motor Lines, died Sunday (Feb. 25, 2000) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a long illness.
Born Hazel Thompson in Niagara Falls, she attended local schools and graduated from Niagara County Community College with a business degree. Before joining the bus company, she worked at the Kimberly-Clark Corp. and Hooker Chemical & Plastics Corp. She retired from Worster Motor Lines in 1976.
Her husband, John S., died in 1988.
Surviving are two sons, John S. Jr. of Niagara Falls and David Thompson of Ransomville; five daughters, Sheila Dispenza, Karoline, Mary and Diana, all of Niagara Falls, and Kathleen of Miami; a brother, Harold "Huckey" Thompson of Pennsylvania; a sister, Lila Thompson of Niagara Falls; and eight grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1419 Falls St. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston.
