What's Happening

BASEBALL: The Muny AA league for men 30 and over has openings for full teams or individual players for the upcoming season. The league plays a 20-game regular-season schedule with a round-robin tournament. Call Ralph Proulx at 886-3930.

BASKETBALL: The Eldredge Bicycle Club of Tonawanda is hosting a men's 40-and-over four-on-four tournament March 12-27. The fee for the double-elimination tourney is $125 by March 5. Call 693-3589.

BILLIARDS: A 9-ball tournament will be held March 3 at Classic Cue in Depew to benefit the Variety Club Telethon. There is a $25 entry fee, but ladies, seniors and youths can enter for $15. Call 822-3856 or 684-4644.

HOCKEY: The Buffalo Sabres Alumni Association is hosting a one-day fantasy camp for senior players on March 14. The program begins with a skills clinic at Hockey Outlet followed by lunch and a round-robin tournament at HSBC Arena featuring eight teams led by Sabres alumni including Danny Gare, Tony McKegney and Bill Hajt. The evening features dinner and a ticket in the party suite to watch the Sabres-Rangers game. Cost is $425 and proceeds go towards the Sabres Alumni Scholarship Fund. SKATING: Introductory classes for beginning hockey players and figure skaters will be held at the Niagara University Ice Complex starting March 19. Classes will be on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:50 p.m. and Tuesdays at 5:20 p.m. Call 636-7401.
