The Lions Club of Lancaster will hold its inaugural Lions friendship meeting at 6:30 March 6 in Ripa's Restaurant, Lancaster. Mary Sue Tanner, president of the Amherst Lions Club and the district's membership chairwoman, will be the keynote speaker.
The Lions Club, chartered in 1952, will present information about its history, accomplishments and programs.
With more than 1.4 million members serving in more than 44,500 clubs in more than 185 countries and geographical areas, Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club. Lions are recognized worldwide for their service to the blind and visually impaired.
