Melisa Green and Jeff Paterson have joined the Health Association of Niagara County administrative team.
Green returns to the association as director of human resources after her recent tenure as grants and contracts administrator for the City of Niagara Falls. Before working for the city, she had served the association as human resources assistant and as director of public relations and development.
Paterson has been named director of communication after serving as director of the Retired and Senior Volunteer program. He has worked for area marketing communication firms and in 1998 received the Public Relations Society of America Buffalo/Niagara Chapter's Rising Star Award.
Vince Laurendi Jr., Adelphia regional manager, has been named honorary chairman of Niagara Catholic Junior-Senior High School's Variety Auction 2001.
He serves on several community boards, including Artpark and Company, Mount St. Mary's Hospital Board of Associates and Porter Cup Amateur Golf Tournament.
The event, titled "Lights! Camera! Auction!," will be held Saturday at Days Inn Riverview.
Adelphia will serve as a corporate sponsor of the event, which supports Catholic education in Niagara County.
Stephanie Cowart, executive director of the Niagara Falls Housing Authority, was one of only 17 candidates throughout the nation who successfully completed a certificate program jointly sponsored by the Public Housing Authorities Directors Association and Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
Cowart was recognized for her academic achievements at a January meeting of the Public Housing Authorities Directors Association in St. Petersburg, Fla.
