Barbara Ann Dembek, 67, a former loan officer, died Friday (Feb. 23, 2001) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

Born Barbara Ann Trainor in Niagara Falls, she attended St. Joseph's School and was a graduate of the former St. Mary's High School.

She had worked at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, and later was a loan officer at the former Household Finance Co.

She enjoyed gardening and was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Richard J.; two sons, Joseph R. of Niagara Falls and Robert C. of Lockport; two daughters, Eileen Katherine Licata and Mary Margaret, both of Niagara Falls; two brothers, Walter Trainor of Niagara Falls and Donald Trainor of Kenmore; three sisters, Eileen Trainor of Niagara Falls, and Elizabeth Agliata and Dorothy McGuckin, both of Rochester; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Services are private. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston.
