Santina M. Crapis Porto, 93, a former resident of Niagara Falls and member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, died Wednesday (Feb. 21, 2001) in Clearfield (Pa.) Hospital.
She was born Santina Wyno in Guff, Pa., and came to Niagara Falls as a child with her family. She returned to Pennsylvania 25 years ago. She was a resident of Mineral Springs, Pa., at the time of her death.
Mrs. Porto retired from the housekeeping department at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in the mid-1970s.
She had been a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.
Her first husband, Louis Crapis, died in 1928, and her second husband, Joseph Porto, died in 1961.
Survivors include three daughters, Serena R. English of Mineral Springs, Sylvia Mash of Niagara Falls and Louise Oliverio of Grand Island; a sister, Kathryn Barreca of Warren, Ohio; a brother, Lawrence Wyno of Wichita Falls, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Church, 1413 Pine Ave. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
