Webvan Group, the online grocer, is shutting down its service in Dallas, leaving it with only nine regional centers. About 220 people work for Webvan in Dallas. Webvan moved into Texas territory after it acquired in September for about $1 billion in stock.

The United Auto Workers union lifted its boycott of The Detroit News and the Detroit Free Press on Tuesday, two months after the last of six unions ratified new contracts and called off their 5 1/2 -year boycott.
