Mary A. Testa, 75, who considered her home to be open to all, died Sunday (Feb. 18, 2001) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a lengthy illness.
Born Mary Lipiano in Clairton, Pa., she moved to Niagara Falls with her family as a child and attended local schools. She was a resident of Mount St. Mary's Long Term Health Care Facility at the time of her death.
Prior to her marriage to Tullio Testa on Sept. 14, 1946, she worked at the Nabisco Shredded Wheat plant.
Mrs. Testa was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
She enjoyed photography, and according to family members, her life revolved around her family. Her home was especially open for Sunday pasta dinners.
Her husband died in 1996.
Survivors include two sons, Anthony J. of Lewiston and James S. of the Town of Tonawanda; a daughter, Loretta Gravestock of St. Catharines, Ont.; a brother, Frank of Niagara Falls; eight grandchil-dren; and four great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Prince of Peace Church, 1055 Military Road, after prayers at 9:30 a.m. in M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St.
