Hazel V. Nelson, 88, a former Castile resident, died Sunday (Feb. 18, 2001) in Rolling Hills Manor Nursing Home, Millmont, Pa.

Born Hazel Ditsworth in Bancroft, Iowa, she came to Castile from Oshkosh, Wis., in 1953 to attend Elohim Bible Institute. After she graduated in 1956, she worked as an upholsterer at the Kittinger Furniture Co. plant in Castile from 1958 to 1977.

She was a member of Mount Zion Tabernacle Church in Gainesville.

She was the widow of Gordon Hahn and Lester Nelson.

Surviving are a son, Elsworth Hahn of Milwaukee; a daughter, Lois Reynolds of New Berlin, Pa.; several brothers and sisters; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Harmon-Watson Funeral Home, 35 N. Main St. Burial will be in Chat Cemetery, Irma, Wis.
