A child car seat checkpoint open to all Erie County residents will take place March 1, said County Legislator Edward J. Kuwik.
The event will be held between 4 and 7 p.m. at e Big Tree Volunteer Fire Company on Bayview Road in Hamburg, next to Frontier Central High School.
At the checkpoint, state-certified inspectors will examine car seats to make sure they are properly installed. Inspectors can also provide information on the best car seat for a child, based on the child's size and age.
